I’m Richard Walters, a Portland, Oregon based location sound mixer, post-production sound editor, and re-recording mixer with 19 years of experience shaping sound for film, television, and web. My work has taken me from vérité shoots deep in remote jungles to commercial soundstages and edit suites with always with the same goal: capturing and crafting sound that brings stories to life.

At the core of my approach is collaboration. Whether I’m recording dialogue on set, editing and refining performances, designing effects, or mixing the final soundtrack, I focus on making sound an integral part of storytelling immersive, authentic, and memorable.

When I’m not working, I enjoy life with my wife Dana, along with our dog, cat, and horse. I love spending time on the Oregon coast and exploring the outdoors.
